Coffee Benefits - Good News for Your Skin

What does coffee have to do with skin care?

Researchers at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle conducted a test to see if caffeine could protect skin cells from UV radiation. They took cultured human skin cells and put them in a caffeine bath then exposed them to UV. The results were that the caffeine destroyed the cells that were damaged by the UV exposure. If the damaged cells would have been allowed to survive, they could have become cancerous.

Ingredients such as green coffee, coffee beans and white tea all contain caffeine. Coffee and white tea are also excellent antioxidants for your skin.
