Beautiful Skin in 5 Easy Steps

Having great looking skin doesn't have to be complicated. Applying a few simple steps to your daily skin routine can lead to healthy results with minimal effort.

1. Drink plenty of water
Water helps our body to flush out toxins. Eight glasses of water a day will help to moisturize your skin from the inside out. To help with this process, flavor water with a combination of slices of lemons, limes and oranges.

2. Get Plenty of Sleep
The body repairs and restores itself as you sleep. Eight hours a night is best for optimal health. Dark circles and puffy eyes are signs of lack of sleep.

3. Use Sunscreen
Exposure to ultraviolet rays can damage your skin. Applying sunscreen daily, especially to your face, will go along way in protecting against photo-aging (deep wrinkles and age spots). Use at least a 30 SPF and be sure to reapply every two hours when your skin is exposed to the sun.

4. Exercise
Regular exercise leads to improved circulation, eliminates toxins through the pores in our skin when we sweat, and helps the digestive system to function more efficiently by eliminating waste products.

5. Eat a Healthy Diet
Your body needs vitamins, minerals, and proteins for skin to repair and maintain itself. A diet consisting mostly of vegetables, fruits, lean proteins and complex carbohydrates will give your skin, hair and nails positive results.
